Hi! I'm looking for a relative as well. Family lore has it that my great-great grandfather was in conflict with his Union-oriented family from TN and split to fight for the Confederacy as a Scout for Gen. Pickett. He changed his name to Charles France Collyge. The Collyge surname did not exist (in that spelling until then). I'm wondering if he, for some reason kept his last name and used it as his middle name. Is it possible he could have been one of the sons of your relative... Charles Jr.????? Please respond to pcollyge@yahoo.com Thanks, Pete Collyge
