Franck Dover UK 1669

I have an Elizabeth Franck b. Dover, Kent 1669; m. 1688 to Baker Spearpoint; d. 1745 Folkestone, Kent.
I am interested in the origins of the name in this area.
Were they Germanic Francks or did they have French or Frankish roots. Things are a bit fuzzy here since I believe that the Germanic Franks gave France its name. Just as the Normans of Normandy were really Vikings!
