The only Francois I have in my line is Jacques Francois who married Jeanne Goullion. They were from LaRochelle, France. I am descended from their daughter who came with her husband to Acadia (Nova Scotia, Canada) in the 1600's. I'm sure they had other children but I do not know any other names. The Acadians were expelled from Nova Scotia by the British in 1755 and were scattered to all parts of the Americas. Some of them ended up in the island of the Carribean. I don't know if there is a connection for you, but it is a possibility.
