Thomas,
Thank you for the quick response.I would be greatful for any information on the Franklands you would be willing to share. I would be pleased to receive an email from you at wdh@fastdrop.com with the attached files or communiction of your choice.

You have asked for more information on the Franklands in Texas and I have very little to offer.

According to my Uncle Lee Hardgrave, the Franklands came to Texas from South Africa to start a Bank and Ship building business. They settled in Smith Point a small town accros the bay from Galveston, Texas. There was a connection to New York state. Cousin Emily visited the Hardgrave Ranch in Terrell County Texas from time to time. The Ranch was my childhood home.

.1. Eliza Jane Sayner 20Oct1854 - 26Dec1942
....+WR Lee 18Dec1849 - 5Jul1924
.....2. Janie Marie Lee 17Nov1894- 18Oct1918
........+Earl Wylie Hardgrave
.........3. Jack William Hardgrave
............+Ruth Griffin
.............4. William David Hardgrave

The connection to the Franklands is through Maria. A record shows Sir Fredrick William Frankland (8th baronet) marrage to Eliza Kirby 26 Oct 1817 York, Yorkshire. Could Maria be their child?

Kind Regards,
David Hardgrave
