I have an old newspaper article regarding the death of Charlotte Zerega Frankland, the wife of Frederick Frankland. She lived only a year after her marriage, having moved to Yorkshire with her husband, becoming ill and dying at the age of 26. They were married in New York on Dec. 11, 1890, and according to the newspaper, the wedding was one of the social events of 1890. Sir Frederick William Francis George Frankland was the tenth baronet of Thirkleby, having succeeded his father, Sir William Frankland, when 15 years old. The article was handed down to my wife from her grandmother, Emily Gird Frankland. Her father, Walter Frankland, was cousin to Frederick.
