Peter Franklin & Samuel Franklin linked by DNA

I am hoping someone out there can help me trace my Franklin line. I have only been able to trace my Franklin line back to Samuel Franklin, b.abt 1816 VA; d.1858-1860 in TN, possibly Henderson Co.

Samuel Franklin married Olivia Jane Rudder July 21, 1836 in Knoxville, Knox Co., TN. The only census I have located him on was the 1850 Anderson Co., TN with Olivia and children. This census shows him being born in VA. By the 1860 census, Olivia is the head of household and the family is living in Henderson Co., TN. It is assumed Samuel died 1858-1860 as the youngest child was born about 1858 in an unknown location.

A Franklin relative submitted a DNA test last Dec. in which we matched a descendant of one Peter L. Franklin, b.abt 1798 VA and died in either Hickman Co., KY or Obion Co., TN as the family seemed to go back and forth between these two areas. The match was only at marker 25 and the descendant of Peter only did a 25 marker. At this point I believe that my Samuel Franklin was out of a branch of some part of this family. So far the records I have found cannot document that Samuel was any part of this line. There is a possibility that Samuel was a nephew or cousin of Peter L. Franklin.

Peter Franklin and maybe some of his siblings left VA about 1830ish and relocated to the Hickman Co., KY area. The person my relative matched thought it could have been possible that some of the family resided in the Knox Co., TN area for a bit. This person submitted his DNA a number of years ago, is elderly and not in the best of health; as well as he does not use the computer.

If anyone has info they are willing to share about Peter L. Franklin and his relatives that would show the relationship of my Samuel to this line, it would be most appreciated.
