Since my family lived in Temperanceville PA and were said to be related to Benjamin Franklin's son who went to Ireland during the Revolution, I find this interesting. Benjamin Franklin's son signed the Logstown Treaty in Pittsburgh and he was close friends with Ned Myers.

You can read about Ned Myers in the book by James Fenimore Cooper titled The Life of Ned Myers. Benjamin Franklin's son introduced Ned Myers to James Fenimore Cooper. Some of the Fenimores are buried at Versailles Cemetery in the Lewis and Clark Lot.

I believe Benjamin Franklin's son was French Catholic and had close ties with Albert Gallatin also from Pittsburgh. General Lafayette's foster brother Dr Felix Brunot also lived in the area of McKeees Rocks/Temperanceville now called The West End which is part of Pittsburgh.

All these Catholics seem to center around LaSalle University in Philadelphia where my great uncle was President.

If no connection, this is sure a coincidence by name religion and location.
