Frantzens from Demark to Texas

My wife's great-grandfather was Erasmus Frantzen, born in 1817 in Copenhagen, Denmark. He apparently was from a shipping family, because his father gave him and his brothers a ship each as part of their inheritance. Proceeds from the ship probably enabled him to migrate to Texas in the mid-1800s, where he married Johanna Spillner, who had accompanied him from Denmark. Erasmus died October 31, 1876, in Fredericksburg, Texas. We have a pretty good handle on the family from Erasmus on, but virtually nothing about his ancestry. We'd be glad to share additional information with you, or to receive other data that you might have.
