Have you ever run across a George Franz. My grandfather was George John Franz. On his death certificate it lists his father as being George Franz. It also states that George John was born in Germany and died in Duquesne, Allegheny Co., PA. George John changed his name to George John Franks at some point. I believe that he was born about 1850 to 1860. He married Madaline Bauer in Allegheny Co., PA. about 1895. She also was born in Germany but never knew my grandfather until after her family had moved to Allegheny CO., PA. I have hit a brick wall with this search. Any help would be appreciated.
