Is your mother Dorothy?

I have Jacob Franz as being born in Heosen, Lampertheim and christened in San Anreas Katholische Kirche, Lampertheim. He arrived in New York on November 27, 1882 on the S S Nederland from Antwerp, Blegium, age 22, occupation servant.

At 25 he marries Caroline Dichel, 18, on Nov. 15, 1885, in Erie. They move to NY. Jacob divorces her after finding her with other men. No children.

In March 1892, He marries Friederike Strasser. "Freda" is 8 months pregnant with Jacob's child.

9 of their 18 children (who lived) are in a previous post.

Jacob ran a bath-house on Lake Erie. Friederike died carrying her 18th child.

The oldest boy who lived to adulthood is my father, Heinrich (Henry). He was christened at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran and Reformed Church in Erie in 1901. He died of a heart attack in 1951; I was 8 months old.

Contact me.

:-} Joan
