Hi Dennis,
I have just started down this path and keep running into your name. My dad was raised in Fort Gay and he and my mother now live in Louisa. I have spent a lot of time at Micajah's grave wondering who his parents were. I like your theory about David and the indians etc. Anything new on that? I descend from Micajah through his son Lewis. This is the info I have:
Micajah and Susannah "Suki" had Lewis (among many others) born 1785. I do not know where he is buried. He married Elizabeth Griffith Ratliff born 1774 (?).
Their son, Honest John Frasher was born 10-28-1806,died 4-15-1902 married 4-26-1827 to Mary "Polly" Wellman born 9-1808, died 8-1875.
Their son, Lewis Frasher, born 4-11-1832, died 10-23-1906 married 2-26-1852 to Elizabeth Ferguson born 6-12-1836, died 9-6-1930.
Their son, Lafayette Jenk Frasher born 9-11-1861, died 7-1950, married 12-9-1880 to Elizabeth "Betty" Walker born 9-20-1865, died 12-9-1901.
Their son, Charles Frasher, born 1-2-1882 in Wayne County, died 2-17-1945 also in Wayne County married 9-8-1903 to Elizabeth Maynard born 12-7-1884, died 5-5-1958.
Their son, Charles Lace Frasher, born July 18, 1908, died August 1996 married Myrtle Lee Portis, born January 26, 1910, died July 31, 1999.
Their son, Charles Portis Frasher is my father. He was born February 22, 1935.
So, that's my line down from Micajah's son Lewis. Let me know if you ever come up with additional information on Micajah. I would love to get the line over to Scotland.
Best regards, Beth Frasher
