Most likely they came from Scotland. Some by way of England, Nova Scotia, etc. There are over 28,000 of them in the US now (different spellings evolved over the years). You need a place to start - then work your way backwards. Do you know your parents names, their parents? When they came to this country? Then go back to the Census and take it from there. Liz
