Note: I also posted this message on the Frazier forum, too!
I am researching Florinda (Dunbar) Durham, b 1838 in KY, that is in my family line. She married John L Durham 1864 in KY and died 1875 in KY with children. I came across some records that has Florinda in a Frazier household in the 1860 Census.
From personal family notes, Florinda's mom may have been Betsy Fraiser and her dad was related to the Thomas Dunbar that laid claim to (and lost claim to) Dunbar Caves in TN. Additionally, her son that lived until 1945 always claimed that Florinda was Wyandot or Cherokee (very different tribes, physically and geographically).
I have only been able to find one marriage record for around the correct time frame with a Fraizer-Dunbar and that was: "Dunbar, Thomas to Frazier, Malinda 191 Sep 15 1833"
Based on actual census records with Florinda:
1850 at Madison Co., KY - Susan Dunbar b 1819 Head, Florinda Daughter and Matrona Dunbar b 1836 Daughter
1860 at Clark Co., KY - Jerry B Frazier b 1820 Head, Mary A Frazier b 1825 Wife, William J Johnston b 1846 Other and Florinda Other
I am wondering if anyone has more information on Florinda Dunbar and her connection to the Fraizer.
