I am Jonathan Fratta(*), I am just starting to seek my familyís descendents and doing a quick search on the net I found this site.
I got delighted surprised to see others Fratt in the world, mainly in US, since here in Brazil itís a uncommon surname.
I will tell just in fell words about the Fratt Family in Brazil and what I know and if one of you has any additional information I will really appreciate.
My g-g-grandfather Antonio Fratt (1846-1900) was Austrian; he and his wife had, among others that I don't know the names, Angelo Fratt (1885-1945), my g-grandfather.
He, Angelo Fratt, merried Luiza Vontin (1876-1955), and during the second war, they left Austria and went to Italy, where after couple time they came to Brazil. His brother, which I am still trying to get the name, should met here in Brazil after fell months, however it never happened, and both never met each other again.
I am trying to figure out if he, my g-grandfather's brother, went to US instead to Brazil. It could happen, because I heard that it happened here in opposite way, some immigrants came to Brazil imagining they were going to US. I guess that occur because they didn't know how far one country could be from each other (I suspect due the relative small distance to cross an country in Europe), and they just want go to America.
I know that is not too much, but as I told I am just starting.
(*) The Fratt's name was changed by immigration to Fratta.
