A summary of your ancestorsí follows. I have descendants of some of the other lines including female lines and correspond with other descendants so can flesh things out a bit further. You arenít very clear as to the extent of your current knowledge and I donít want to waste time giving you information that you already know, so Iíll keep it brief.

Sir John Chichester of Raleigh - 1st Baronet born 1623 (one time owner of Newton Barton)
His nephewís son b 1688 became 4th Baronet.
He had two sons and five daughters. The first son took the title and the second son, William, went into the church.
Williamís Grandson became the 7th Baronet after the early death of his great uncleís son.
William had a number of children including a daughter Frances. She married William Sharsell Fray (Fry) at Kilkhampton in 1771 and they are burried at Morwenstow.
They had 8 children including John born in 178, he married Ann Pedler in 1804 they had 4 childred before John died and Ann remarried. All these children had ĎChichesterí included in their forenames. Fanny died un-married aged 35, Caroline Sally died aged 13 and William Wilson Chichester Fray died aged 4. John Chichester Fray married Frances Medbury Nicholas and had three children, John Chichester, Lucretia Fanny and Helen Louise. John died in infancy but both daughters married. The census for 1881 shows the family in Manchester although both daughters were born in London. I presume that it is this that you are referring to.

Where do you fit in? I have more details on Helenís children.
