I have an ancestor, Elizabeth Lacey Peyton Fred, who married Joseph Fred, Sr. in 1837 in Winchester, VA. Could there be a thread of connection? Have you found anything on Jacob? I am trying to run Elizabeth to ground. So far, I haven't found anything on Joseph or her to help anyone. It could be that they are buried in what was called "The Old Burying Grounds" in Winchester. I will be visiting my parents up there at Easter and can hopefully find the old burying grounds. If you have found any info, please send. If I find out anything, I'll let you know.
