Well Felix you certainly have covered a number of Genealogy Forum sites. I'm sure much of your information is helpful to people searching the name sites you have hit.

You might, however, wish to add to your Fredette/Fradette message that the original name as introduced to Canada is Fradet. We Fradets, Fradetts, Fradettes, Fredets, Fredetts, Fredettes and all the double "d" variants of the name as well are all descended fron Jean Fradet who came to Canada in the late 1600s.
