Husband of Lula Gwathney Frederick
Posted by: Rufus Willis Frederick (ID *****3606) Date: November 13, 2010 at 07:11:06
  of 1323

According to a cousin on the Gwathney side, Gramdma Lula married James A. Frederick in Alabama in 1897.
According to the 1900 Census in Goodwin, St. Francis, Arkansas Rufus Frederick was born in Missisippi age-32, Wife: Lula E. Frederick age-27, Daughter: Mary L. Frederick age-3.
According to the 1920 Census in West Helena, Phillips, Arkansas Jacob A. (Jose) Frederick was born in Virginia age-53, Wife: Lula age-43, Son: Willie (Willis -My Grandfather)-18, Ollie age-15, Viola age-13, Dollie age-9, Jinnie (Jimmie) age-7. The only one missing from the Jacob/Lula listing is Mary. However, the dates/ages match with each other (sort of). I know this is the same family and all of my relatives. However, looking for James/Jake/Rufus Frederick has been a challenge-one thatI refuse to give up on.
I have nothing about Mr. Frederick prior to his marriage to Lula. I don't know any of his family.
So...If ANYONE,has any information that can lead to finding his origin please send me a note.

Thanks, and happy hunting!
Shun (Rufus) Frederick
