I also have been researching the James Frederick line that settled in Texas County, Missouri.I have a direct match on all the names listed on your note of 3/19/1999 with some minor differences on dates.
My connection to the Frederick line is through James William Frederick (born 17 June 1842), son of James and Susan (madden name unknown).
James William Fredereick married a Martha Ann Chambers. From this marriage, Nancy Jane Frederick was born 20 Aug 1882.
Nancy Jane Frederick married Richard Lee Geisler on 18 May 1897.Richard and Nancy had Sylvia Isabell Geisler on 11 Mar 1989.Sylvia is my grandmother on my Dad's side.
Most of Frederick, Geisler and West's of my line lived in Texas County, Missouri in late 1800 through early 1900.
As a matter of fact, there is a Geisler-Frederick Family Reunion in Pittsburg, Kansas this August 12, 2000.
Information I have on the Fredericks came from my dad, Arthur Lee West.I have a type written document written by a Edna Ruth (Trapp) Straling of Houston, Texas County, Missouri. The date of the document is October 22, 1959.She compiled the document from a Holy Bible published in 1802 that contained information on James and Susan Frederick. This bible had been passed on to Mrs. Mary Susan (Frederick) Owen, daughter ofJames and Martha Frederick, and the wife of Walter Owen, Houston, Texas County, Missouri.
I have other information on Able Fredereick that indicates that he may have fought in the Civil War.
Feel free to e-mail me and we can visit
