1825: Death of George Freeland in St. Francisville
1826: Death of George Freeland in both West Feliciana newspapers
1828: West Feliciana marriage of Mary Freeland and Picket Luck
1829: Will of Elizabeth Adams of city of Jacson - Polly Ayres, wife of Samuel Freeland cited in West Feliciana. "Samuel Freeland the husband of Mary Ayres also heir of the dec'd."
West Feliciana p.229 Samuel L. Freeland 011111-23002 (two families?)
Court document - "Mary Ayres, wife of Samuel Freeland" "wife" crossed out and "widow" written. Living in West Feliciana area. Children of Mary A. and Samuel Freeland: Elizabeth, Harriet, Sarah Ann. (Mary A. d/o Wm Ayers and Elizabeth Dortch)
1835: East Feliciana marriage of Isaac Freeland and Susan Ann Smith. See 1850 West Feliciana census for family. All said to have been born in LA.
In addition Natchez MS court records in 1794 list John Freeland, George Freeland and Alexander Freeland. According to land sales, early TN Freelands left the Nashville area and headed south.
