Aaron Freeman
Hi, I am writing to the person that answered me on the Aaron Freeman.I first found my gg grandfather in Montgomery Co. NC along with a John, free colored, Lewis, free colored, John H. married to Elizabeth, Henry and a widow Mary who I think husband was Daniel.By l860 William H. and Hannah Dunn Freeman had relocated to Yadkin Co. NC, close to the Iredell and Wilkes Co. line on Swann Creek. In l86l he enlisted in IREDELL CO. in the Civil War in Co. C 4th Reg.He was killed at Spotsylvania Courthouse in May l3, l864.When he came out they had him 44th Reg. Co. A.Hannah got his Civil War pension from the 44th Reg Co. A.I have searched and searched Aaron Freeman from the beginning of my search for the parents of William H, but could not find where his grandchildren might have settled. If you can help me, I will be so thankful to you.I have been on this for almost 2 years, and as I think I said in my other email, we are having the Freeman DNA done, we are very unique as we do match the European database, American database, no black, jew or Melungeon database. The director of the DNA can't figure this out, and my cousin is now having the NA test done to see if we can find out more of our heritage. Please get back in touch, I will be so excited if you have any news, whether we could be from Aaron's line or not.Do you know if Aaron had a brother named Isaac? He lived on the Swann Creek waters and died in the Rev. War.Trying to find where his land was in today's counties, as my gg grandfather relocated to Swann Creek waters. Thanks so muchBecky
