Edmund Freeman...settled at Saugus/Lynn, MA, 1635 {arrived on the Abigail, 8 Oct. 1635}; was made a freeman 2 Jan. 1637, Plymouth; was one of the first ten men to establish a town on the Cape: Sandwich, Barnstable County, under grant of 3 Apr. 1637...He died 1682, aged 92, and was buried on a hill near the rear of his dwelling {on Tupper Road east of Route 6A; will pr. 2 Nov. 1682} His {second} wife was Elizabeth {RAYMER/RAYNER, m. 10 Aug. 1632, Shipley, England.By first wf. Edmund FREEMAN (2) was deputy to the General Court from Sandwich, 1669 - 1676.His first wf. Rebecca was dau/o Gov. T. PRENCE & Patience BREWSTER, d/o Wm. BREWSTER who came on the "Mayflower."
