I, too, believe that Saxony is in Germany. Unfortunately, that has filtered through the family stories as the place of his birth. We do know that he was born in 1843 in England. It is believed that he comes from a large family of boys and that he was the youngest. I would be interested in sharing any information regarding our mutual family name. Maybe we'll get lucky & help each other out.
