Hi,

I have come to the same conclusion. Three years out isn't very much, I have had much bigger differences in birth years than that with other ancestors, who I know to be correct! William born 3 Feb and baptised 5 March 1788 in Bishop's Sutton married Mary Cole 21 December 1809. I found a Mary Freemantle who died in 1814 and was buried in Micheldelver, this could be Mary Cole. Yes, as far as I know they only had one son. I believe that William then went on to marry Sarah Lewis after Mary Cole died. I have spent a lot of time looking into this, and although it's not definite, I think it's the most likely scenario, I don't know of any other William Freemantles being baptised in Bishop's Sutton at this time. Hope this helps, feel free to contact me again if you want to know anything else, I'm not sure how much information you have on my tree.

Kind regards

Monique
