My Freitag family settled in Wisconsin about 1845, with the arrival from northern "Germany" of Karl Freitag, about 25, and his mother, whose name was Louise. Karl married Henrietta Johannah Rosenthal in 1855 and lived in Brown county for much of his life. A family member still lives on the original farm in that county. Karl and Henrietta (AKA Charles and Hannah or Etta Freitag/Friday) had a large family, including Albert, Louise, Hulda, Edward, Emil, H.R. and William. I have a fair amount of info about them if these names appear in your family. Best wishes - Mary
