Brownie, I am the descendant of James T. Wood who was a neighbor and friend of D. B. Friar when they both lived at DeWitt County before 1850. Have you seen posting no. 81 of this forum which mentions a Robert Fryer who was born 1900 at Cuero, DeWitt County, Texas? I suspect this is a grandson (?) of your D. B. Friar. It was also interesting that this Robert Fryer died about 1909 at San Saba, Texas. James T. Wood and his family went to San Saba about 1853. I'll see what I can find about him in the Court House records next time I go to San Saba where my family still lives. Joyce Wood Wells
