I THINK your husband may be related to me, Wanda. I was born in Thibodaux, Louisiana in July 1957 to Armand "Lerrie" Frickey and Maxie Martin Guidry but we lived in Des Allemands. Lerrie's father was Evans Frickey of Bayou Gauche, and his grandfather was Eddie "B." Frickey of Des Allemands.

There is another lineage of Frickeys who live in St. Charles Parish, the one who lives in Des Allemands is L. J. Frickey, who is also Justice of the Peace. I don't know whether Lawrence was a progenitor of his branch of the Des Allemands Frickeys or my own. I suspect the former is true because my dad's family lived in and near Bayou Blue, LA and Bourg, LA, and our family land in Des Allemands was bought from my mom's brother Malcolm Martin.

The reason I think that we're related is that the story about John Henry Frickey from Prussia was told to me by my uncle Daniel Perret (= Thelma Frickey). Uncle Dan, who lives in Westwego, LA, is the genealogist for our branch of the family, and can probably tell you which branch your husband descends from. Good luck!
