I have newspaper obituary notices for both Charles W. and Irvin J. Fricke. According to them, Irvin was born in 1875 as you state. But Charles was born in 1873 which would make Charles the oldest. I was told that their were 9 Charles in sequence that were the first son of the first son. I have no proof that that is true. But if it is, it ended with my first cousin Charles who was killed in WWII on Anzio Beach in Italy on May 17, 1944 before he had any children. What a shame! My cousin, Charles A., was the first son of my uncle, Charles V., who was the first son of Charles W.
