Hi Lynda: My Great Grand Father was Charles Wesley Fridell.
He was married to Mariah (Sarah) Jane Youngblood. The first trace I found of this family was in 1850 census for Union County, Georgia. I have tried many times to go back into South Carolina where the census said they were born, but I never found anything prior to 1850 that I could use to indentify either Charles or Mariah. They moved from Union County, Ga. to Gunsterville, Alabama. I located them in the census of 1860 and 1870. Apparently Charles had died and in the 1860 census, Mariah Jane was living with her son.
You stated that you had extensive knowledge of this Clan. Perhaps we can get together and assist each other in our search. Anxious to hear from you. teddy.randles@worldnet.att.net
