I am looking for ancestors of my maternal grandmother, Esther Molly Friedman. She was born somewhere in Hungary in the 1800's and emigrated to New York City in the late 1800's. I know she had a sister named Sarah. I also know that some members of her family changed their surname to Freeman and that she was related somehow to Hicky Freeman of Hicky Freeman men's wear. She married Emmanuel Goldstein in New York City some time before 1900, and they had three children - Howard, Rella, and Miriam. From New York, my grandparents moved to Cleveland, Ohio, then to Detroit, Michigan, then back to Cleveland, Ohio, then on to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where they remained for the rest of their lives. I also know there was a Gertrude Friedman, but I don't know whether she was my grandmother's sister or her niece, only that Sarah and Gertrude remained in Cleveland where they had family. My mother, Rella, told me that she never knew her grandparents; so they have to have died before 1908, the year my mother was born. I would also be interested in information about any siblings of Esther Molly Friedman.
