Friedman's From Austria / Hungary early 1900's

My grandfather was Thomas Friedman. He immigrated from Austria (Austria/Hungary) March 20, 1902 through New York. A search of Ellis Island records doesn't show a match however. He was married before 1906 to Elizabeth? also know a Lisi. They were probably married in New Jersey, possibly Pascataway. Elizabeths maiden name varies depending on which document you see. There first child Anna V. was born, probably in NJ or possibly in NY October 2, 1906. They moved to Northern California between then and June 8, 1908 when their second child, Thomas K Friedman was born. They lived in Butte County, California and possible Yuba and/or Sutter County also.

Declaration of Intention lists his last address prior to immiagration as Bustawam, Austria. Spelling may be wrong. He came over ont he ship Salon. Again, spelling may be wrong.

He or his with has a sister that lived in Yuba City, CA in the early 1970's.

If any of this sounds the least bit familiar or you can help me with the ship or town please email me. Thank you very much.
