I'm not sure whether you'll get this as your original message was so long ago.

My mother's maiden name is Friend and numerous of her ancesters were born, lived and died in Dolton. I am in the process of putting together tree details at present, I have details Friend's dating back to 1700c so far (William Friend married to Dorothy Paddon), they were living in Dolton and my great grandparents (and everyone between) lived there.

I live near Bristol, England so have vivid memories of visiting the Dolton area when I was young to visit my grandparents, uncles and aunts (36 now).

Let me know if you want any more info or if you've found out any more connections. Other surnames connected to Friend's and from Dolton are: Alford, Budd, Shute, Heaman, Adams, Bolt, Flexman and Paddon. My great grandparents were John Friend and Annie Louisa Alford born 1862 and 1866.
