Yes, in the land records I found that your GGgrandfather, William FRIEND, homesteaded 80 acres in the same section as his father.[But my brain obviously took a temporary vacation when I listed him as "Thomas" in my previous message.For that, I do apologize.]The latest information I have on your branch of the family is from T.C.'s obituary [1920], which said that William was living "over in the Creek country".I'm descended from William's sister, Mary Jane, who married Andrew Francis MILLIGAN.Their homestead was across the road from William's.As far as I know, the only other sibling who remained in the area was the youngest sister, Mellie.She married Richard Franklin ATTEBERRY, who had homesteaded nearby. Most of my information covers the family's life after they moved to Oklahoma Territory, and the downlines of Mary Jane and Mellie -- which I'll be delighted to share.
