Linda---I have Friezes in Greene County, (East) TN. They migrated to Southern Illinois, Pope County. They are connected to my Jacobs' family who came out of Jefferson County, (and surrounds), TN. The Jacobs' migrated to Pope County, IL in about 1849. One of the Jacobs, Lydia Mariah, was married to Anderson C. Frieze in 1853 in IL. There were 2 other Friezes (also spelled "Freeze" on documents from that place and era) - Valentine S. Frieze and William B. (Babb) Frieze who resided in Pope County, IL along with Anderson C. Frieze. All 3 are named in probate documents of Jacob Jacobs, d. 1858, father of Lydia Mariah. Any connections???
