Joel Gilbert Frink was born to Joel E. and Nancy Atkins Frink (I have Smith and a question mark with Nancy's name)
in Waterbury, VT. Joel E. served in the War of 1812.
Joel Gilbert was the 5th of 6 children. He died about 1901,
Ellendale, ND. He married Helen Amelia Wynne, daughter of
William and Claricey Howard Wynne, November 9, 1857, McGregor, Iowa. He served in the Civil War in the 26th Iowa Cavalry for 14 months and with the 7th Iowa Cavalry in the Dakota Territory during a period of Indian skirmishes. He moved to Frederick, SD, in 1884, and then to Ellendale, ND, where he had an elevator and coal firm.
He and Helen had 3 children: Andrew Seymour, Edna Clara,
and; Jay Bertrand. Andrew and Jay had 1 child each, and I have additional descendants foar them. I have no information about Joel Gilbert in Iowa.
I have limited information about Joel Gilbert's brothers,
Henry and Albert Blush.
Peggy Frink Humphreys
