Walter Fripp and Lilly Ellis

This is part two of my research of the Fripp family ties to my Benton family.

As stated in my other e-mail on the subject, (read it first) Sidney Benton and Rosa Ellis were married in Dec. 1881, but in a double wedding. Rosa's sister Lilly married on that same day, Mr. Edgar Walter Fripp. They move to his plantation, Palmetto Hall on St. Helena Island, Beaufort Co. About 1884, Lilly died giving birth to twins.

The 62 year old Edgar can be found in the 1920 census, St. Helena Township, Beaufort Co., SC, District 74, page 15A, along with 64 year old Julian Fripp living on the next farm. A brother?

Maybe someone can come up with the relationship of Edgar Walter and Robert.

Anyway. I hope someone of the Fripp line may find these two stories of interest.

Bob Benton, La Verne, CA
