Thanks Dave. You have a wonderful site. Well done!

In the SC Room of the main branch of the Charleston Co. Library is a file of cards called "dead cards". An individual card is filed for each person alphabetically by surname.

My GGF was William Fripp Prentiss, sone of William Otis Prentiss, son of Jefferey Otis Prentiss, son of James Otis Prentiss. Because of the above Fripp middle name and because I keep finding Fripp headstones in many of the local cemeteries, I recorded Fripp cards from this file. Here are some Fripp's I recently found in the file.

Miss Augusta E. Fripp age 75, b St. Helena, d St. Helena 4-7-1896, residence 324 Meeting St.

Susan B. Fripp, stillborn, residence 5 Orange St., Chas. d 11-26-1875, buried Magnolia Cem., Chas., SC

Grace Fripp, 1 yr, d 5-4-1896, residence 185 Coming St., buried 2nd Presbeterian.

Ed. St. Jas. Fripp, 2 mo, residence 5 Orange, d 3-15-1877, buried Magnolia Cem., Chas., SC

Elizabeth H Fripp age 30 b St. Helena, d 2-27-1842, no record of where buried.

Eva (infant) Fripp, stillborn, d May 15, 1901, res 37 Ashton, buried Potter's Field

Margaret B. Fripp, 28, d at 57 Tradd St. 12-4-1878, buried at Magnolia Cem., Chas., SC

Rebecca (infant) Fripp, stillborn, residence 175 Queen, d 12-24-1897, buried Magnolia Cem., Chas., SC

Sarah W. Fripp, 8 mo, d 11-12-1822, no not where buried

Washington Y Fripp 54, residence 97 Meeting St., d 9-9-1902, buried St. Pauls Episcopal, Yonges Is., SC

Willard Fripp 13 days, buried Magnolia Cem., Chas., SC

I have Prentiss information if you care to include it on your site.
