Tom Frisby:I just started working on the Frisby name, with my wife Donna. Her father's mother was Rose Blanche Frisby, b. OH 1889. We have some info going back. Looks like Blanche's father was William Frisby (III), a Civil War vet, b. ~1841 in MORGAN COUNTY, KY!!
Also looks like Blanche's grandfather was a William Frisby (II), b. ~1815. William (II)'s father was John Frisby, b. ~1794 in TN and his father, we think, was William Frisby (I), b. England, date unknown, but could be ~1760.
We have a paper saying "William Frisby 1st was of English birth. He came to America at the age of 16. Was a soldier in the Revolutionary War. After the war settled in TN. Had two sons John and James."James disappeared, it says, but John was born in TN, settled in KY and had 15 children. One of John's boys was William (II)) & his son, William (III) was the one born in Morgan County, KY in 1814.
I hope this msg finds you and hope it helps. Would love to hear from you. My wife is Donna, I'm Bill Robinson. We live in Harrisonburg, VA. Tel. 540-442-6855.
