Thomas Frith family in New York and Iowa

Help! My 3rd Great Grandfather was Thomas E Frith, he was born in Chatham Kent London England January 9, 1918. He came to America in 1841, landing in New York state and then comming to Dubuque County Iowa in 1857. He married Amelia Bawden/Borden in New York according to her obituary. In one of Thomas's sons profiles he stated that they married in England. I believe the New Youk is correct as many of the children were born in New York.
Thomas and Amelia had 8 children: Thomas Jr, Nelson, Eugene, Thoedore, William, Martha, Sarah and Ameila.
there is also a daughter Cornelia who died as an infant in New York.
Now Thomas was a butcher by trade, and began a family business that employed his children and grandchildren until the 1950's. He was the owner of the Union Slaughter House, Frith Fertilizer Works and collected rubbish in the city of Dubuque for many years.
What my question is are there any one else who has these Frith's in their line or have a Thomas that they cant link?
Also how does the Chapel-De-La-Frith play into the family name? can any one help me? Thanks Al
