OK now I am lost or maybe not I have seen a web page that has list the rank of Fritchey, Fruchey and Frutchey and how common the occurence is in the USA in this web pag (Furchy family page)it has a pic of five brothers that came over plus a picand translation of one of the brother's headstone and the translation has Frutshie to Fruchey. In a post by a mr. Haskel he wrote that John Godfrey Fritchey from Germany and Fritchey was anglicized from Fritsche. And tonite I was told by my uncle that he was told that there were 6 (SIX) brothers that came over and 3 (THREE) went to Canada. What I am sure of is that me, my father and his siblings were born in PA my grand father FL his father ARK and where his father was born is where I am lost. His name was John G. Fritchey (B.1852 D.1922) married Hester E. Boots (B.1859 D.1942) last location I have them in is Van Buren Crawford CO ARK. If anyone has anymore info please contact me at [email protected]
