Both my parents recently passed away and as a result I have have become interested in my family history. Your message as well as that of Tom Brew's have some data which is similar to mine.

I understand that Godfrey Fritsch came from Germany with four children, namely, Carl W. Edward Fritsch, who was born on January 31, 1846 in Tscheschenheide, Gustav Adloph, born May l5, l853 in Panthen, Archibale or Auguste, born on February 8, l850 and Herman who apparantely went to New York State.

Carl W. Edward Fritsch, my greatgrandfather, settled in Denbigh, Ontario, as did Gustav Adolph. I have no knowlege about Archibald or Auguste except to say that my uncle has suggested that Auguste may have been a female.

I have been told that Godfrey Fritsch came to Canada with his mother and four children because his wife had passed away. I found a hand scribbled note in my father's possessions which indicated that Johahn Gottfried Fritsch was born in l822 and died on September l5, l876. His wife was Louise Renner. It indicates that they immigrated in l862.

Most of my ancestors lived near Denbigh, Ontario. Some relocated to the vicinity of Mount Forest, Ontario, and others to Swift Current and Gull Lake, in Saskatchewan.

Car W. Edward Fritsch married Bertha E. Yoerke and they had six children, one being Reinhart, who was my grandfather. Reinhart fathered five children, one being Kenneth, my father.

I would appreciate receiving any further clarifying or supporting data.

Thanking you in advance.
