Fritsch families in Texas from prior to 1870's

Hello,
This is not one of my personal family lines, however...
I am nearly related to a Fritsch family from Gross Petersdorff.

There was a major immigration from Austria,(Moravia), Germany, Poland etc that settled in central Texas. The counties to check are: Colorado Co.(Weimar, High Hill etc) also Fayette Co., Falls Co., even McLennan. Possibly Comal Co. (New Braunfels) and others with skads of germanic names!

I am aware of Fritsch families in most of the counties I listed above. Go to this URL: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/tx/txcounties.htm

You can select which county to search and use the search function. Also, if any county has a homepage go to it and do a second search you may have more luck, I frequently do.

All the best,
Jan Hart
