Dear Jennifer, I think I might have some possible info for you re Harold Fritter from the 1906 era. I believe heis the son of John Powhaton Fritter, my great grandfather. John P Fritter was a wagon master who traveled from Ohio to Durham, California, a community close to Chico. He was considered an early pioneer of the area, a friendof John D Rockefeller when in Ohio. He has two sets of families, His first wife I believe was named Martha and his second wife my great-grandmother Albertina Rice had been the nanny for his 1st family and married John when his wife passed away. They had several children, my grandfather was Clay Webster Taylor Fritter, and my mother is Joy Fritter. My mother had 4 sisters and 3 brothers, all born in Durham on the Fritter ranch. I am only giving partial info, but if you would like more information about John P Fritter and his families, feel free to contact me. Considerable family history and research has been done. The family tree is complete. Between my mothers immediate family and her cousin, Father Chris Fritter, a Catholic priest from Benicia, Ca (Now deceased) much info has been gathered. My mother's father Clay moved the family to Healdsburg, CA, then eventually to Napa, Ca. where the majority of the Fritter family settled in the 1920's and still resides. Look forward from hearing from you. The Fritter family is rich in American history and traced as far back as Normandy France in the 1300's,SincerelyTracy St. John
