Just found a curious thing. Although my great-great grandmother was Anna Frobose (umlaut over final o) on her Bremen birth certificate, she became Anna Frobrogen or Frobogen (hard to read) on her 1854 or 1859 (also hard to read) death certificate in Oregon, USA. Seems odd.
