The SS Belgenland left Belgium on April 1st 1881 bound for New York,USA. The ship master was Samuel Jackson. The following is the immigrant transcript of passengers. They traveled in the steerage section. Port left from was Antwerp. #954 Margaret Fromal age 20 #955 August Fromal age 16 #956 Charles Fromal age 14 #957 Joseph Fromal age 8 #958 Helen Fromal age 5 #959 Nicholas Fromal age 2 It seems as if the family sent all their children to the USA and stayed behind. Some Fromals came from a village on the border of France and Germany. I am the mother of Charles William Fromal Jr. whose father is Charles William Fromal whose father was Charles Fromal. The last Charles Fromal was buried in Glenwood cemetery in Bromall Pa. My husband has a living sister Lillian Fromal. I will not give her married name. As you see many of the first names were carried on through the years. I find it very interesting. I do hope this information helps anyone looking into their past. Notify Administrator about this message?
