Hi all, I wrote to some of you, but decided that perhaps I will put my genealogy to date on the forum for all. The Worwood/Warwoods have been a genie headache (other trees some back and proven to 1400-1500's) but having spent months tracking them down, I have finally been able to order the certificate for my Grandmother. Elizabeth Mary Worwood (Deptford) married William HILLIER (GREENWICH/DORSET) Elizabeth mary born 20/4/1873 St Nicholas Deptford, kent/London Elizabeths parents were James Thomas Warwood and Sarah Frostick. James Thomas was born (1871 census born in Rotherhithe) 1836 and Sarah Frostick (1871 Census born Southwark) abt 1836 Children Elizabeth Mary - Deptford 1873 James Thomas - Deptford (kent/London) 1858 John William 1862 Deptford George Joseph 1864 Deptford Alice 1867 Deptford Sarah abt 1870 Deptford Charlotte 1876 Deptford Possible parents IGI only at this stage James Thomas Warwood and Charlotte Elizabeth Warwood James and Sarah FROSTICK. NO OTHER MATCHES AFTER MONTHS OF TRYING. Anne this may be of interest or not. My Hillier Worwoods both have a "water history" Hillier - Marine Engineer, marine boilermaker, boilermaker, blackSmith (not a bog jump)and back further mariners Warwoods - Marine boilermaker, boilermaker, smith and other Warwood connections in Rotherhithe were lightermen. Another possible connection is the fact that the Hillier/Worwoods all ended up around Croydon, Norwood etc.....I myself being born in Beckenham,Kent. Links in the Hillier to Lambeth also. A lynchpin linking us is somewhere, I feel it. Seems a likely connection somewhere. Please feel free to contact me anytime. Would love to hear fom any of you. As Pam and Alan have said Frostick is not a common name Pam from Adelaide, Australia Notify Administrator about this message?
