There are just a couple more bits of information that need to be mentioned and clarified here on these two George Fruits relatives of ours that your Margaret Fruits Patterson comes from.
First: George Sr. (husband of Margaret) is called "German George" AND "Flag Bearer George.
Second: George Jr. (husband of Catherine Stonebraker) is called "Alamo George".
Both father and son served in the Revolutionary War from Pennsylvania. "Alamo George" was the one to live to be almost 115 years old (less than five months short of that age), and has been proven to be the last survivor of the Rev. War.
Two surviving great grandchildren of "Alamo George" and Catherine are still living here in Montgomery County, IN; both in their late 90's. One, my Uncle Burl Fruits, loves to talk about our two Georges, and can still spin a good family yarn without being prodded.

A proud niece,
Joyce Davis Jones
