Fryer/Partington - Belfast/ Farnworth/Barnoldswick
Posted by: Val Fryer Date: March 17, 2002 at 00:38:59

Can anyone connect with our line of Fryer's. My husbands G.Thomas Fryer was born somewhere in the 1800's in Belfast and moved to Farnworth, Bolton Lancs during the potato famine. He married Sarah Partington from Farnworth and they had possibly 6 children, 2 were believed to have drowned, the remaining 4 were Nellie, Emma, Lily and Harry, (our line). It's thought Thomas had a brother but I'm researching that just now. Sarah had a nephew who was a Professor of French in Belfast University. G.Thomas died in Barnoldswick in 1948. Thanks Val
