Hi, Carole. My Fryers came to America much earlier - somewhere around 1730 at best guess right now. I have been to Arlingham where they are alleged to have lived. Notice I have not been able to prove the area yet! There are many Fryers buried in the Arlingham church cemetery. I took photos of many of the tombstones. This was once part of the Berkley Manor as I recall. I am tied up with other things right now, but when I get back to my research, I will see what I have and let you know. I also have some copies of wills and lists of marriages. My family has lots of Richards, Johns' and Williams. My maiden name was also Fryar but my grandfather put his own spin on the spelling! This family came through MD, SC, KY and then my branch into IL.
