Helen - Thank you very much for the valuable information on Lloyd Fryer. I am definitely interested any additional information you may have on Lloyd's parents. I located the Fryers in the 1850 Census for Pendleton County, KY but both Lloyd and his father was listed as "Flord Fryer" so I was unable to verify this was the correct person. If its easier to email, please send it to my address on the forum.
As far as Lloyd's Civil War pension records, I just recently received several documents from the National Archives. It included the application for his widow, Catherine Barry, and also my great-grandmother's application (Lloyd's daughter) after Catherine died in 1877. Anna Fryer was eligible for the pension until she reached 16 years of age in 1879. There wasn't a great deal of information on the Fryers but did provide more insight on the Barry family. Please let me know if you're interested in this information and I will be happy to send you copies of the documents.
